I recently had the extreme pleasure of sailing on the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas for my vacation. I had experienced this amazing ship when I was invited on the 2 night Inaugural sailing in 2018, and I have to say that while that was wonderful, a 7 night Cruise is the way to go on this biggest ship at Sea!

Like the other Oasis Class ships, the Symphony has 7 neighborhoods that include Central Park, Royal Promenade, The Boardwalk, Pools and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.

Where do I begin? The food, entertainment, activities were endless and non stop. There were 9 of us traveling together, and we were like little ducks in a row going from dinner to the entertainment each night. The show Hairspray was absolutely phenomenal and I can tell you it was just as good as the Broadway performance. I didn't get to see Flight when I sailed on the Inaugural, and now I see what everyone was raving about. The Ice Show and Aqua Show were fantastic as always, and I am always in awe of what the performers can do on a moving ship.

I am a weenie, so I don't partake in anything more daring than the Carousel, but for those who like adventure, the ship has the Flowrider Surf Simulators, The Perfect Storm water slides, The Ultimate Abyss, Zipline and Laser Tag. The ship also has Escape the Rubicon, a Sports Court, Comedy Club, an Arcade, Outdoor movies, Dance Classes, Fitness Classes and a gorgeous Solarium.

The Kid's Club includes Adventure Science Lab, Imagination Studio, Adventure Art and Adventure Ocean Theater.

Everyone knows that it is always about the food for me, and there are SO many amazing choices on this ship. I will start with dinner in the Main Dining room being delicious every night. Our last night on the ship we decided to go to Chops Grill and it was a truly special Dining experience. My husband has celiac disease and needs to be gluten free. Not only did our waiter bring out EVERY side dish on the menu for all to share, he had special gluten free sides made up just for my husband.

Symphony of the Seas has many wonderful specialty restaurants... Jamie's Italian, Wonderland, 150 Central Park, Coastal Kitchen, Hooked Seafood, Izumi and Johnny Rockets. If you have a sweet tooth, you can stop into Sugar Beach on the Boardwalk. If you need your morning Latte, you can drop by Starbucks on the Royal Promenade.

Along with the main Dining rooms, the ship has Cafe Promenade, Sorrento's Pizza, Park Cafe, Solarium Bistro, Vitality Cafe, Dog House, and the Windjammer Buffet. I am not embarrassed to mention that I pretty much sampled all of the above.

Our itinerary sailed the Eastern Caribbean and included Puerto Rico, St Maarten and CocoCay, the Cruise line's private island. It was so nice to walk off of the ship in CocoCay, rather than having to tender in. The updates are gorgeous, and we spent a nice few hours relaxing on the beach. We did a local tour in St Maarten, and an amazing rain forest tour in Puerto Rico.

The ship has multiple bars and lounges, including the Rising Tide Bar that elevates between the Royal Promenade and Central Park, and the Bionic Bar.

This ship is truly great for everyone. Traveling with your family? The 1744 square foot, two story Loft Suite sleeps 6, and has room for a party!
