Disney has a new family member and it will require a flight to Hawaii to welcome Aulani their newest resort property. Located on the western shore of Oahu, the resort is 21 acres of beautiful beachfront property and it celebrates Hawaiian culture, history and traditions.

 

Water is a very big part of the resort, with multiple pools, hot tubs, water tubing through caverns or a lazy river for the less adventurous. There is a snorkeling reef, a conservation pool and poolside cabanas. The Waikolohe Pool has fun and activities for every age group complete with special teens only and tweens only themed pool parties.

 

Aunty's Beach House is for kids to play and learn about Hawaiian art, music and culture. Hula lessons and island crafts are the most popular. It's a great place for Mom and Dad to drop the kids while they enjoy some alone time. For the older kids, the Painted Sky Spa doubles as a teen hangout with movie nights, scavenger hunts and lei making. There's even a treasure hunt for all resort guests for the Menehune or the Hawaiian version of a leprechaun.

 

A visit to a Disney Resort would not be complete without a character Breakfast, and Aulani of course offers this along with multiple dining choices specializing in local Hawaiian favorites. Grab a drink in Off the Hook, or a quick bite to eat from one of the Quick Service Dining options.

 

The resort has nightly entertainment, an Adult's Culinary Series, and Guided Walking Tours. There is even a shopping shuttle!

 

The rooms at Aulani range in size from 382 square feet for the standard room to 1910 square feet for the largest suite. All rooms come with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, robes and even a Pack 'N Play Playard to make family travel very easy. There are multiple view options to choose from.

 

All in all, Aulani has all of the qualities one would expect from a Disney property. Disney and Hawaii together, what could be better?
